Okay! It's time everyone!
The theme of our contest will be Seven Deadly Sins!
September 1st to October 31st!
----we will post a ton of reminder journals in between the months to help you remember
Be creative. You can pick a sin and write around the idea of it or create a character with that sin as his/her flaw. You can even branch off the sins to different emotions. For example, you could write about desire which comes from the deadly sin lust!
I hope to be help to post journals with examples of different ideas as to how you can write about the seven deadly sins as the contest goes on. They will be a kind of writing workshop for everyone!

Rules
All forms of original literature excepted! (prose, poetry, scripts, narratives, letters, etc.)
Prose pieces must be no longer than 2,500 words
You must credit the group in your A/C.
Please submit to the contest folder!
One submission per member only!
Judging Criteria will be posted in a later journal so you know what we are looking for in each piece! This year your comments will be posted on your piece as well as in the public group comments. Your scores will remain private until after the contest!

JUST LETTING EVERYONE KNOW
Well, the Chromebook I've had since March 2018 is starting to show signs of conking out. It's been smooth sailing all this time, so I'm not surprised. I didn't expect it to last forever. The screen is flickering and it's getting worse, but it doesn't happen all the time. If it goes off altogether, I won't be here to serve my groups. In the meantime, I'll be setting up my desktop just in case. I just wanted to warn the members and other admins if anything happens.
Nothing ugly has happened yet, and I hope it's just a phase or maybe it needs a rest. IDK

OK y'all, forgive me for getting all political, but things are getting ugly. I know this is an art site, but this shutdown is affecting artists too. It's NOT all about government workers, it's about the whole country. Safety is a concern, health is a concern, housing, education, finance, food, and everything that fuels this country.
If you think it's about border SECURITY, think again. We're experiencing this ordeal for a pointless structure that has nothing to do with border SECURITY. We are at the mercy of arrogance, vindictiveness, sadism, hatred, and egotism. Our government is being reduced to a see-who-blinks-first game. It's a Hatfield
